Job summary

Western Union is seeking a Business Development Executive in San Diego, CA to build new business by growing revenue and transactions with new accounts, agents, and customers. The role requires 70% travel and residency in California or relocation within the territory.

You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to signing contracts, and onboard new accounts while maintaining relationships with the network to support growth.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of sales experience, preferably in the Money Transfer industry.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred; fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Discover, sign, and activate high revenue retail stores across the assigned territory.
• In-person visits with potential accounts, traveling the territory 4-5 days per week.
• Manage end-to-end sales process from lead gen to contract signing and onboarding.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of agent locations and provide onboarding support.
• Sell the Western Union portfolio with focus on Money Transfer.
• Drive new business growth through proactive prospecting and account acquisition plans.
