Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to partner with our Intelligence Systems team to generate and maintain engineering and developer-focused documentation for complex defense products.

You will work with engineers and SMEs to identify gaps, ensure accuracy, and deliver clear, user-focused artifacts across the development lifecycle, helping frontline operators understand and use our systems effectively.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience generating technical documentation for varied audiences.
• Reading and interpreting software/hardware docs and certification processes.
• Clear and persuasive writing for technical to lay audiences.
• Mission-first mindset focused on national security.
• Self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments and meets deadlines.
• Collaborate with SMEs, engineering and PM to translate concepts into docs.
• Basic development skills and applying software development practices to docs.
• Autonomy and responsibility managing competing demands.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and edit documentation that is user-focused and high quality.
• Documentation covers full development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Work with engineering to ship user-friendly documentation that informs and enhances UX.
• Contribute to the technical writing toolkit, including style guides and reviews.
• Build partnerships across the business to understand users and products.
• Willingness to streamline processes using artificial intelligence.
