Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a seasoned technical writer to partner with our intelligence systems engineering team to generate and maintain engineering and developer-focused documentation. You will ensure artifacts meet high quality standards, work with developers and users to close gaps in understanding, and help set the tone for Anduril’s documentation at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of demonstrated excellence generating technical documentation for various levels of technical audiences for a variety of product types.
• Ability to read and interpret software/hardware documentation for complex products and structured certifications.
• Proven clear and persuasive writing and in-person communication across technical to lay audiences.
• Customer/mission-first mindset with motivation to advance national security capabilities.
• Able to work independently in unstructured environments and drive tasks to completion.
• Collaborates with engineers, SMEs, and PMs to translate complex concepts into user-friendly docs.
• Developer-friendly mindset and basic software development practices applied to documentation systems.
• Ability to thrive with autonomy and high responsibility, and manage competing deadlines.
• Willingness to streamline or augment processes with AI.
• Currently holds an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and edit end-user documentation of the highest quality.
• Cover full development lifecycle documentation from planning to deployment and integration.
• Work with engineering to publish user-friendly, informative documentation that enhances user experience.
• Contribute to writing toolkit, style guides, and lifecycle processes.
• Collaborate across the business to understand users and products.
