Job summary

M&T Bank seeks a Strategic Sourcing professional to manage technology supplier agreements, negotiate terms, and drive cost savings. You will lead RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, assess vendor proposals, and coordinate with Legal and risk teams to ensure compliant contracts.

You will partner with Technology, Legal, Third-Party Risk, and Finance to optimize tech spend, manage vendor risk, and deliver executive-ready sourcing recommendations across software, cloud, hardware, and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree requirement and at least 2 years of financial or business experience, or 6 years of combined education/work
• Experience writing RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and evaluating vendor responses
• Strong contract review and negotiation skills with tech vendors
• Knowledge of software licensing, cloud pricing, maintenance structures and subscriptions

Responsibilities

• Lead tech sourcing events and manage cross-functional teams
• Develop sourcing strategies from stakeholder requirements
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to optimize costs
• Prepare supplier evaluations and support vendor selections
• Negotiate enterprise software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, and services agreements
