Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic programs across the IT organization.

You will drive planning, execution, and sustainment while communicating benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards. Success requires 8+ years of IT/PM experience, a technical background for risk evaluation, and a track record of managing enterprise applications and external providers.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant IT/PM experience and a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization.
• Technical background to evaluate risks and communicate with technical teams.
• Experience managing Enterprise Applications projects and external providers.
• Strong leadership and communication with senior leadership and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution; monitor health status and mitigate risks.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures for success.
• Identify dependencies between programs and scope/lead transformation opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report status to executives and governance forums.
• Work independently in ambiguous environments to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice PMO processes and drive continuous improvements.
