Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic IT programs.

You will lead programs from planning through sustainment, report benefits to executive sponsors, and govern boards to ensure alignment with corporate goals. The role requires a strong IT PM background, ability to navigate ambiguity, and proven leadership with cross-functional teams, enterprise application initiatives, and external providers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant IT program/PM experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager in an IT organization
• Technical background to credibly assess risks and issues
• Experience on projects/programs supporting Enterprise Applications
• Experience managing external implementation providers
• Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills; excellent presentation and communication abilities
• Demonstrated stakeholder management and cross–team communication with senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead program definition, planning, scope, and execution; monitor health and mitigate risks
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures and deliverables
• Identify dependencies between programs and scope/lead transformations
• Drive stakeholder alignment; report status to executives and governance boards
• Work independently in ambiguity to create clear paths forward for teams
• Adopt best-practice PMO guidelines to drive ongoing process improvements
