Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of strategic IT programs. You will lead programs from planning through sustainment, reporting benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards.

You will manage program definition, planning, scope, dependencies, and stakeholder communication while operating in ambiguous environments and driving PMO process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience in IT Program/Project Management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Technical background to credibly evaluate risks and issues.
• Experience on Enterprise Applications projects/programs.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and senior leadership familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition, planning, scope and execution of assigned programs; manage health status to anticipate risks and mitigate issues.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdown structures; identify deliverables for success.
• Identify dependencies across programs and size/lead transformation opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report program status to executives and governance forums.
• Work independently in ambiguous settings to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice PMO guidelines to continuously improve processes.
