Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own end-to-end delivery of cross-organizational IT programs. You will lead strategic initiatives from planning through sustainment and report benefits to executive sponsors and governance boards.

You will define program plans, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across senior leadership and technical teams, bringing a strong technical background to evaluate risks and enable successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant IT program or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience as a Project/Program Manager in an IT organization.
• Technical background to credibly evaluate risks and issues.
• Experience with Enterprise Applications.
• Experience managing external implementation providers.
• Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.
• Proven stakeholder management and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition, planning, scope, and execution of assigned programs; manage health status and mitigation plans.
• Define integrated program plans with detailed work breakdowns and deliverables.
• Identify dependencies between programs and size/lead transformation opportunities.
• Drive stakeholder alignment and report status to executives and governance forums.
• Work independently in ambiguous circumstances to create clear paths forward for teams.
• Adopt best-practice guidelines to improve PMO processes.
