Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Director, Compensation & Benefits in Raynham, MA. This role reports to the VP Tax and provides high-level tax and legal guidance on worldwide employee compensation and benefit plans.

The incumbent will advise on mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensure ERISA compliance, and coordinate payroll withholding and reporting with internal teams, while partnering with leadership across the organization.

Qualifications

• JD required with active bar admission in at least one US state or DC.
• 10+ years advising on compensation & benefits tax and legal matters.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRC provisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical tax and legal guidance for employee compensation and benefit plans.
• Advise on US federal tax requirements affecting retirement plans and equity compensation.
• Counsel on ERISA compliance and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures with tax and benefits input.
• Coordinate payroll tax withholding and reporting with internal teams.
• Review and document compensation arrangements and governance materials.
• Advise on plan asset investments and prohibited transactions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and translate into actionable guidance.
• Manage external counsel and experts to deliver timely solutions.
