Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced Associate Compensation & Benefits Tax Counsel to be located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The role provides high-level tax and legal guidance to design and administer worldwide employee compensation and benefit plans, reporting to the VP Compensation & Benefits Tax Counsel.

You will ensure compliance with IRS provisions, ERISA, and related laws, and advise on mergers, acquisitions, plan asset investments, executive compensation matters, and

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience advising on employee compensation & benefits tax and legal matters.
• Working knowledge of Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, and related laws.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures and plan asset investments.
• Excellent business partnering and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical tax and legal advice to management on compensation and benefit plans globally.
• Ensure compliance with tax and legal requirements for compensation and benefits.
• Advise on payroll withholding and reporting matters.
• Advise on compensation and benefits in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and related transactions.
