The role reports to the VP Tax and supports governance, due diligence, and cross-border matters during the planned DePuy Synthes separation, with the expectation of joining DePuy Synthes post-separation where applicable.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and active admission to at least one U.S. state bar or DC bar.
• Minimum 10 years advising on employee compensation & benefits tax and legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical tax and legal counsel on design, administration, and governance of employee compensation and benefit plans.
• Advise on U.S. federal tax requirements affecting retirement plans, executive compensation, equity, and welfare benefits.
• Counsel on ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, and fiduciary requirements.
