Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a GES Senior Associate to develop and implement efficient methods to maximize client benefits, focusing on tax optimization for equity, deferred compensation, and corporate income taxes. The role covers research, compensation strategy, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

The position emphasizes analytical rigor, leadership of junior staff, and collaboration with senior professionals to deliver strategic tax planning and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Business, Accounting, or Human Resources, preferred.
• Two (2) or more years of prior work experience required; focus in compensation and/or strategic service consulting, preferred.
• Master’s degree, preferred.
• Certified Compensation Professional, CPA certification or other relevant certification, preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify situations requiring research and outline issues with sources.
• Analyze researched facts and sources; compose detailed reports.
• Assist with compensation planning and benchmarking for executive compensation models.
• Ensure client compliance and identify options to minimize tax and reporting burdens.
• Review SEC filings and best practice guidelines to advise on compensation opportunities.
• Support in studies of market practices and tax/regulatory activities to identify action paths for clients.
• Supervise day-to-day workload of Associates and Interns; train on relevant software; deliver performance feedback.
