Job summary

Something Special Studios is seeking an experienced Talent & Resource Director to guide resource planning, talent acquisition, and workforce management. The role partners with the Executive Team to ensure the studio has the right talent and capacity to deliver outstanding work.

Seeking a senior leader with deep industry networks and hands-on sourcing ability, capable of balancing project needs with people and budget considerations.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in resource management or talent management within creative environments.
• Proven ability to lead resource planning across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong network of freelance talent and experience in recruitment end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight of agency-wide resource planning and allocation.
• Forecast staffing requirements with departments and leadership.
• Maintain visibility of resource availability and utilization.
• Lead freelance recruitment, contracting, and onboarding processes.
• Partner with Finance and Production to align staffing with budgets.
• Develop and maintain a high-quality freelance talent network.
• Advise leadership on talent availability, market conditions, and compensation.
• Mentor the Resource Manager and establish scalable processes.
