Job summary

Brand New School in New York and Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Talent Manager to lead our talent department. You will oversee internal artist roster, source and book freelance talent, and partner with producers and heads of production to staff projects effectively.

This senior role requires 5+ years in creative talent management, a strong freelance network across design, animation, VFX, CG, and related disciplines, plus exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in talent management or related roles in the creative industry.
• Proven track record leading talent/recruiting functions or teams.
• Extensive network of freelance creative talent across multiple disciplines.
• Strong understanding of design, animation, VFX, CG, and related production landscapes.
• Experience booking freelance talent and negotiating rates and terms.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and develop internal Talent team members with clear guidance.
• Establish talent management processes, systems, and best practices.
• Proactively forecast staffing needs based on projects and bandwidth.
• Partner with leadership to identify roster gaps and staffing strategies.
