Job summary

Community Housing Network Inc. is seeking a Talent & HR Director to lead CHN's people strategy and HR operations in central Ohio.

You will partner with senior leadership to translate goals into HR systems, policies, and programs that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness. The role oversees talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, compliance, development, and budget management while coaching a high-performing HR team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Experience managing or overseeing payroll administration.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a leadership or management capacity.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience leading HR teams and using Paycom Payroll and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR systems, structures, and strategies that support organizational priorities and long-term workforce needs.
• Direct and oversee CHN’s Talent & HR programs including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, retention & engagement, succession planning, and staff training & development.
• Develop, manage, and monitor the annual Talent & HR budget, ensuring financial stewardship and alignment with priorities.
• Oversee compensation and benefits strategy, HRIS and payroll administration, and employee leave and accommodation programs.
• Advise leaders on policy application, equitable practices, and workplace compliance; manage employee relations and investigations.
• Lead organizational development initiatives and change management to improve collaboration and effectiveness.
• Develop recruitment strategies and build an active talent pipeline; partner with managers on hiring for leadership and critical roles.
• Coach and develop the HR team, ensure professional growth and performance, and manage confidential information.
