Job summary

SMS group is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead full-cycle recruitment across functions in a manufacturing environment in Pittsburgh, PA. You will source, screen, interview, and extend offers while collaborating with hiring managers and marketing to build our employer brand.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, 3+ years in recruiting, experience with high-demand roles (e.g., machinists), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required
• Minimum of three years in recruitment, with two-to-four years handling all phases in a fast-paced environment preferred
• Experience recruiting for high-demand positions in manufacturing environments (e.g., Machinists)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to create sourcing strategies and work proactively with hiring managers

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment: postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offers
• Source candidates through diverse channels to build a strong candidate pool
• Collaborate with marketing to promote employer brand and culture
• Ensure positive candidate experience from first contact to onboarding
• Develop partnerships with hiring managers and advise on staffing needs
• Stay current on industry salary benchmarks and recruiting best practices
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
