Job summary

Vulcan Elements in Durham, NC is seeking a Recruiter to lead end-to-end hiring with support from People Operations. You will build relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and scale recruiting processes to accommodate rapid growth.

You will review resumes, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and source top talent from internal databases, networks, and external platforms. The role emphasizes a strong candidate experience and data-driven recruiting improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a full-cycle recruiter in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with potential candidates.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
• Familiarity with recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn or Indeed.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to hiring strategy and scale talent recruitment efforts to reduce time to fill for critical roles.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions reflecting upcoming positions.
• Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate interviews with the hiring team to assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
• Source candidates through internal databases, networking, and external recruiting platforms.
• Ensure a positive candidate experience through thoughtful candidate communication and scheduling.
• Analyze candidate survey data to improve talent acquisition strategy.
• Track and analyze recruitment metrics to improve hiring strategies and processes, aligning with business needs.
