Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company, based in Herndon, VA, is seeking a Recruiter to oversee sourcing, recruitment, and selection for assigned regions. You will manage requisitions, postings, candidate communication, and screening to build a strong talent pipeline.

The role partners with hiring managers and HR business partners, conducts interviews, helps prepare offers, and ensures adherence to EEO/AAP and OFCCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years in HR Generalist or Recruiting.
• Experience with Taleo or Oracle Recruiting ATS.
• Knowledge of recruitment practices and sourcing techniques.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Recruiting Process – Create and close job requisitions and job postings, collaborate with HR staff to understand hiring needs, update job descriptions, communicate with job applicants.
• Sourcing: Develops and executes candidate generation strategies and maintains an inventory of candidates.
• Screening: Reviews resumes and screens applicants to identify qualified candidates; forwards to hiring managers.
• Interviewing/Offer Negotiation: Facilitates interview panels and supports salary recommendations and offer development.
• Presents and negotiates offers; coordinates reference checks and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Partner with managers and HR business partners to ensure alignment with hiring goals and equity considerations.
