Job summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at State of Minnesota - Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) delivers HR advisory services to support applicant qualification review, selection processes, and inclusive recruiting practices.

Based in Saint Paul, MN, this full-time, hybrid role works with hiring managers to plan recruitment, post jobs in HRIS, evaluate applicants, and advise on salary determinations within bargaining guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of HR support experience in staffing, compensation, HRIS, or related field.
• Associate degree in HR, Business, Industrial Psychology, or related field can substitute for six months of experience; bachelor’s substitutes for one year.
• Experience communicating complex HR policies to supervisors, managers, and stakeholders.
• Customer service and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Computer skills including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Consult with hiring managers to plan and implement hiring plans.
• Create recruitment plans for diverse applicant pools.
• Process job postings in HRIS per bargaining agreement and agency procedures.
• Review resumes and assess applicant qualifications for positions.
• Advise on salary determinations within collective bargaining and law.
• Support recruitment efforts for agency positions.
