Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to manage full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of requisitions in Houston, TX. The role focuses on sourcing diverse candidates for corporate and business teams, providing strategic consultation on process and compliance, and building strong relationships with leaders and Hiring Partners.

The ideal candidate will develop sourcing and recruiting plans, drive the talent acquisition process, and support onboarding to ensure a seamless candidate

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma with 4 years of talent acquisition experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of corporate or agency talent acquisition experience.
• Experience developing and executing comprehensive sourcing/recruitment plans.
• Proficiency with Boolean search strings and sourcing resumes, data mining, and internet research.
• Familiarity with navigating an Applicant Tracking System.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders, hiring managers, and the recruiting team to forecast short- and long-term hiring requirements.
• Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified and diverse talent.
• Screen and interview candidates for key role requirements and company values alignment.
• Coordinate with candidates throughout the recruitment process to provide a world-class experience.
• Assess candidates on technical baseline and cultural fit for NRG.
• Partner with Onboarding to ensure a smooth transition from offer to first day.
• Maintain accurate and well-ordered documentation on candidates, searches, and interactions for audit readiness.
• Engage in cross-functional projects and staff-related initiatives.
