Job summary

NRG Energy in Houston seeks a Senior Talent Business Partner to guide HR programs across Technology and Growth & Policy. You’ll provide guidance to managers and employees, support workforce design, and coordinate data, communications and plans for smooth organizational transitions.

The role drives employee engagement, succession planning, compensation reviews, and collaboration with Centers of Excellence to deliver People programs aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of HR business partner experience in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience analyzing and resolving employee issues, providing advice and counseling to managers and supervisors.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred.
• Experience with HRIS/record software such as SuccessFactors.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR consultation and recommend solutions consistent with established policies, programs, and business needs.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees regarding policies, procedures, performance, employee relations, and talent programs.
• Support talent reviews, succession planning, engagement surveys, and employee development and recognition programs.
• Partner with L&D to identify training needs and assist the L&D function in aligning training programs with business needs objectives.
• Support recruitment activities, including job descriptions, compensation reviews, approvals, interview preparation, and interviews for key roles.
• Manage and resolve employee relations matters in accordance with policies and laws, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws/regulations and progress against diversity & inclusion goals.
