German American Bank is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and develop the recruiting function, driving full-cycle recruitment for senior and executive positions. The role partners with business leaders to design talent strategies, improves candidate and hiring manager experiences, and oversees recruiting technology and external vendors.

A strategic leader who coaches and mentors the team will shape the bank's talent future and support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years corporate recruiting including senior/executive roles.
• 3+ years leading a talent acquisition team.
• Leadership with passion for coaching and developing others.
• Proven success sourcing passive candidates and building pipelines.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders as trusted advisor.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and employment laws.
• Experience using ATS and recruiting technology.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills translating data into insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects.
• Ability to de-escalate challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a talented recruiting team while staying actively involved in recruiting for key roles.
• Partner with leaders to align talent strategies with business goals.
• Coach recruiters through complex candidate scenarios and negotiations.
• Negotiate offers and manage external partnerships when needed.
• Meet with external search partners to drive critical searches.
• Brainstorm sourcing strategies and process improvements with the team.
• Manage recruiting vendors and oversee projects and budgets.
• Shape the talent acquisition agenda to support growth initiatives.
