Job summary

Collier County is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead our Talent Acquisition Team. This role oversees county-wide recruitment, selection, and hiring programs, and partners with hiring managers to attract top talent for community service.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Division Directors and County leadership to develop practical recruitment strategies, ensure compliant practices, and continuously improve the candidate and hiring manager experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five (5) years of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team.
• Oversee county-wide recruitment, selection, and hiring activities.
• Partner with hiring managers and Division leadership to develop recruitment strategies for current and future staffing needs.
• Oversee job postings, candidate screening, interviews, selections, offers, and pre-employment requirements.
• Develop innovative recruitment strategies for high-volume, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
• Ensure hiring practices comply with County policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Oversee background checks, drug screenings, physicals, fingerprinting, education verification, and other pre-employment processes.
• Manage the County’s applicant tracking system and related recruitment contracts and processes.
• Lead recruitment outreach, career fairs, advertising, and employer branding efforts.
• Train and coach hiring managers on interviewing, selection, and recruitment best practices.
• Monitor vacancies, hiring activity, recruitment data, and authorized staffing levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, efficiency, and the candidate experience.
