Job summary

Ally Financial, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a strategic Director of Talent Acquisition to lead a team of managers and recruiters for Ally Bank and Enterprise Functions. You will guide recruiting strategy, partner with senior leaders, and ensure high-quality candidate experiences in a large, regulated financial services environment.

The role requires extensive experience in talent acquisition, executive recruiting, and strong stakeholder relationships, with hybrid in-office requirements in

Qualifications

• 9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years of Talent Acquisition experience, including at least 5 years leading recruiting teams.
• 3+ years of hands-on executive recruiting or executive search experience, including leading confidential senior-leadership searches.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Talent Acquisition managers and recruiters across multiple locations.
• Build and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business priorities and future needs.
• Serve as a strategic talent advisor to senior leaders, HR partners, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee recruiting delivery, performance, and service quality across client groups.
• Lead confidential executive searches and coach recruiters on executive search strategy.
• Use analytics and market intelligence to improve hiring outcomes and governance.
