Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to lead and deliver large, complex engagements for PE clients across the U.S. You'll assess network design, inventory optimization, and transportation strategies, partnering with PE leadership to drive EBITDA improvements.

The role requires 7–10+ years of consulting and industry experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Experience in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehouse sourcing, 3PL operating experience, production and inventory planning.
• Experience in leading or modeling supply chains using software support tools (e.g., Llamasoft).
• Excellent fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
• Flexibility to travel based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership.
• Develop structured approaches to assessing improvement opportunities and define strategies.
• Conduct sourcing events related to transportation and warehousing, RFI/RFP processes, negotiations.
• Assess inventory planning processes and systems and recommend improvements.
• Develop transformation plans for transportation, freight optimization, warehousing & distribution.
• Implement and oversee deliverables and manage the team and day‑to‑day relationships.
• Ability to conduct analysis and lead teams to conduct analysis.
