Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain - Distribution & Logistics to lead and deliver large, complex engagements across U.S. locations. You will drive supply chain optimization, transportation and warehousing improvements, and inventory planning for PE portfolio companies.

You will collaborate with Private Equity leadership, develop structured assessment approaches, and guide teams to deliver measurable EBITDA improvements while managing client relationships and project governance.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of combined consulting and industry operating experience.
• Experience in Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) or related advisory work is a plus.
• Deep expertise in distribution and logistics network optimization, transportation and warehousing.
• Experience leading or modeling supply chains with software tools (e.g., Llamasoft).
• Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping.
• Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex client engagements with Private Equity leadership.
• Identify, design and implement creative business solutions for portfolio companies.
• Develop structured approaches to assess improvement opportunities and define strategies.
• Analyze supply chain network design, costs, capacity, and inventory flows.
• Conduct sourcing events for transportation and warehousing; manage RFIs/RFPs.
• Assess inventory planning processes and recommend improvements for service levels.
• Develop transformation plans and timelines for benefits realization (OPEX, inventory).
• Oversee deliverables and manage the team and client relationships.
• Lead analysis initiatives and coordinate project work streams.
