PTI Tech in Clifton, NJ seeks a hands‑on Purchasing Leader to own strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory control. You will negotiate with suppliers, manage materials for plastics/resins, metal feedstock, and packaging, and lead cross‑functional teams to ensure material availability and low total cost.

You will oversee warehouse execution through the Warehouse Supervisor and coordinate with Finance, Engineering, and Quality to drive cost, quality, and on‑time delivery

Competenze

• 5+ years purchasing, procurement, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience sourcing plastics/resins, metal feedstock, and outsourced manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP knowledge; IQMS/DELMIAWorks preferred.
• Leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to analyze inventory, lead times, and supplier performance.

Mansioni

• Own the majority of PTI purchasing for raw materials, plastics/resins, metal feedstock and powders, components, packaging, and outside services.
• Obtain competitive quotations and verify best value considering price, quality, lead time, freight, and total cost.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, lead times, freight terms, and vendor agreements.
• Source, qualify, develop, and manage suppliers with performance data; maintain strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate with Quality on certifications, nonconformances, and supplier requirements.
• Support new and existing program quoting by obtaining current material and service costs.
• Use ERP/MRP data to determine purchasing timing and quantities; review unusual recommendations before large orders.
• Maintain accurate supplier and pricing master data for reliable MRP output.
• Own inventory-control strategy including ABC classifications and cycle counts.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies with affected functions and correct root cause.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse to ensure materials are available and staged for jobs.
