Job summary

PTI is seeking a Logistics Supervisor in Clifton, NJ to manage internal and external logistics, including inventory control, shipping/receiving, and outsourced processing. You will focus on ERP data integrity, on-time delivery, and material movement across the facility and with vendors.

The role requires 2–4 years in logistics or warehousing within manufacturing, with hands-on supervision of 1–5 staff, and ERP proficiency.

• Excellent attention to detail for inventory counts and shipments.

• Ability to coordinate internal and external steps with minimal supervision.

• Proven problem-solving skills to address delays and quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations including accurate part weighing, packaging, and labeling.
• Oversee daily inventory control and cycle counting with goal of >98% accuracy.
• Ship/receive outsourcing jobs for secondary processing while meeting timelines and specs.
• Ensure logs and conformance of outsourced operations meet quality and quantity requirements.
• Support logistics flow for internal operations and external vendors to prevent delays.
• Coordinate with purchasing/planning to align material movements with schedules.
• Lead and develop a 1–5 person team with clear performance expectations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment and enforce safety policies.
• Identify and resolve shipping or inventory issues quickly using root-cause methods.
• Maintain ERP accuracy for all material transactions.
• Schedule and track outbound/inbound shipments to meet delivery dates.
• Handle shipping documentation for regulated products ensuring compliance (e.g., ITAR/EAR).
• Ensure proper counting, labeling, paperwork, and handling of all materials.
