Job summary

PTI Tech in New Jersey is seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead purchasing, strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory control, and warehouse/logistics operations. You’ll own strategic purchasing and supplier relationships while directing warehouse execution through the Warehouse Supervisor.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing supply-chain experience and insight into how purchasing, inventory, and material availability impact production and customer delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or materials management in manufacturing.
• Experience managing suppliers and ensuring material availability, cost, and inventory performance.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating raw materials, components, services, terms, lead times, freight, and supplier agreements.
• Strong ERP/MRP experience to validate demand, inventory, lead times, and supplier data.
• Familiarity with ITAR/export controls, ISO 9001/AS9100, PPAP, or customer-specific supplier requirements.
• Experience with supplier scorecards, RFQ/RFP processes, cost modeling, and freight management.

Responsibilities

• Own purchasing activities for raw materials, components, packaging, and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and supplier agreements.
• Source, qualify, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and capacity.
• Oversee ERP/MRP-driven purchasing timing and master data integrity.
• Lead warehouse and logistics operations through the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Track KPIs on cost, supplier performance, delivery, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR/export controls and other regulated shipping requirements.
