Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier performance across quality, delivery and capacity throughout the product lifecycle. You will liaise between suppliers and internal teams, leading corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include APQP activities for launches, PPAP review, supplier audits, and driving risk mitigation. Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and cross-functional collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years in supplier quality or 8 years in related field.
• Knowledge of automotive quality systems and AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans).
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, capacity and performance.
• Develop and implement supplier improvement plans to address quality concerns and gaps.
• Lead APQP activities for new launches and capacity expansions.
• Review PPAP submissions and ensure documentation alignment with requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and ensure timely corrective actions and follow-up.
