Schaeffler is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in the United States to oversee supplier quality within the order fulfillment process, resolve issues, and drive improvements in APQP/PPAP during product development.

You will lead supplier evaluations, manage corrective actions, coordinate sampling, and train suppliers on quality planning, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cost efficiency and producibility.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–5 years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of APQP and PPAP.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Experience in supplier evaluation and corrective action management.
• External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee quality control of supplied products within the order fulfillment process.
• Address and resolve supplier quality issues in the plant.
• Collaborate with suppliers during product development to support APQP/PPAP.
• Focus on cost efficiency and producibility during development stages.
• Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure ongoing QA.
• Manage supplier process changes and corrective actions.
• Lead sampling inspection and make acceptance/rejection decisions.
• Coordinate claim management during series production.
• Act as escalation point for remedial action plans until resolution.
• Train suppliers on APQP and PPAP requirements.
• Ensure adherence to agreed quality planning and approval processes.
