Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of automotive launch and supplier quality experience, including VDA-RGA.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP/PPA, VDA-RGA, FMEA, control plans, and process capability.
• Experience with VDA 6.3 process audits and VDA-RGA.
• Willingness to travel extensively to supplier locations internationally.
• Knowledge of launch management and supplier industrialization processes.
• Ability to assess manufacturing readiness and capacity risks.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead supplier escalation meetings and task forces.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities during new vehicle launches and engineering changes.
• Assess supplier manufacturing readiness through milestones and launch gates.
• Develop and maintain supplier launch readiness assessments and monitor KPIs.
• Coordinate supplier activities across prototype to SOP phases and escalate risks.
• Support plant build events and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Manage PPAP/PPA submissions per Mercedes-Benz and VDA requirements.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance; drive corrective actions using 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa.
• Conduct supplier process audits using VDA 6.3; perform Run-at-Rate evaluations.
• Coordinate with management and launch teams; provide status updates.
• Support analysis and projects with vendors; perform other duties as assigned.
