Job summary

Parker Aerospace CFCD in Ogden, UT or Irvine, CA is seeking a Supplier Development Manager to lead cross-functional supplier engagement, drive recovery against shortages, and improve delivery performance. This role requires 50-75% travel and frequent on-site supplier collaboration to meet quality, capacity, and cost objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring 5–7 years in supplier development, strong analytical and project-management skills, and experience with PPAP and Lean/Six Sigma practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of supplier development experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and technical skills with ability to improve processes.
• Advanced computer skills and data-analysis tools experience.
• Experience implementing PPAP and quality-system improvements within supply base.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Lean Enterprise principles; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier engagement to build high-performing relationships with CFCD as a preferred customer.
• Own recovery efforts for chronic supplier shortages and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct supplier visits, performance reviews, and exchange meetings to verify capacity and rate readiness.
• Manage work-transfer activities from triage through implementation with cross-functional coordination.
• Drive supplier delivery improvements and reduce Depth of Delay and chronic issues.
• Develop and execute supplier recovery roadmaps using Lean, SIOP, PCI, risk-management, and capacity planning.
• Lead external Kaizen events to improve supplier quality, delivery, productivity and cost.
• Support cost and deflation initiatives including part-family development and inspection improvements.
• Monitor PFES priorities and collaborate to improve performance and deliverables.
• Facilitate weekly High-Performance Team meetings and drive timely closure of actions.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and programs.
• Maintain professional communication with suppliers and promote Parker values.
• Promote safety culture and support corrective actions until closure.
