Job summary

Serco in Virginia is seeking a Submarine Shipbuilding Improvement Engineer/Analyst to support PMS450 and NAVSEA submarine programs. You will identify bottlenecks, implement Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and lead cross-functional teams to accelerate production while maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires an active DoW Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and at least 5 years submarine construction experience.

Qualifications

• Active DoW Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of submarine construction experience.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and occasional DC area travel.
• Strong analytical, programmatic, and project management skills.
• Experience with Navy acquisition programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements in submarine construction.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive efficiency.
• Analyze production workflows and bottlenecks.
• Manage improvement projects from concept to completion.
• Utilize data to inform decisions and track KPIs.
• Coordinate with NAVSEA and shipyard stakeholders.
