Job summary

Maximus is seeking a strategic Subcontracts leader to oversee a team of specialists supporting proposals and operations programs within an assigned portfolio. You will manage the full lifecycle of subcontractor performance from solicitation through closeout, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies.

In a matrixed environment, you will develop subcontracting strategies, advise project teams, lead negotiations, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive knowledge of subcontract awards and lifecycle documents.
• Deep FAR/DFARS compliance understanding.
• Experience with defense/national security sectors preferred.
• ERP systems (Coupa/Costpoint) and CLM systems experience.
• Strong communication and leadership across matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle subcontractor performance.
• Develop and drive subcontracting strategies.
• Lead negotiations on terms, pricing, and performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies.
• Prepare RFP/RFQ packages and technical evaluations.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and data analysis.
