Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Strategic Subcontracts Manager to lead a matrixed team and drive end-to-end subcontract administration. You will oversee lifecycle activities, including proposal strategy, negotiations, and compliance with FAR/DFARS, while advising project teams and stakeholders across operations, business development, and compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in subcontracting with a strong background in government contracts, ERP tools, and data-driven performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 7+ years of professional experience required.
• Experience with government contracts and FAR/DFARS compliance is essential.
• Experience leading subcontracting teams in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle subcontractor performance from solicitation to closeout.
• Lead negotiations on terms, pricing, schedules and performance metrics.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS compliance across subcontract activities and files.
• Prepare RFP/RFQ packages, evaluate proposals, and document decisions.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement in processes.
