Job summary

Maximus is seeking a strategic Subcontracts Leader to manage a team of subcontract specialists across proposals and operations programs within the assigned portfolio.

You will oversee the full lifecycle of subcontract awards, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and drive negotiation strategies to optimize terms, pricing, and timelines. The role requires a strong leader who can operate in a matrixed environment and advise project teams on compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS compliance and NDA/TA best practices.
• Experience in Defense, National Security, or Intelligence sectors preferred.
• Experience leading teams in a matrixed organization.
• ERP experience with Coupa/CostPoint and CLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle subcontractor performance from solicitation to closeout.
• Develop and drive subcontracting strategies across portfolios.
• Advise project teams on subcontract administration and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies.
• Lead negotiations on terms, pricing, and performance metrics.
• Improve processes and best practices across the subcontract organization.
