Job summary

Amentum in Paducah, KY is seeking a Subcontract Administrator to manage contracts and pre-award activities in a site-based role. You will handle RFP packaging, bid evaluations, and negotiations to ensure compliant and favorable terms.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple disciplines, conducting pre-award conferences, and managing contract deliverables under FAR/DEAR guidelines. DOE L clearance or ability to obtain is required, with potential site relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus 5 years of related experience, or equivalent
• Experience typically 5–8 years
• Proficient with computers and MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations (FAR/DEAR)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• DOE L clearance or ability to obtain DOE L clearance

Responsibilities

• Prepare list of contractors for proposals and compile RFP packages.
• Review bid tabulations; modify scope and terms of contracts.
• Coordinate with disciplines to summarize bid proposals and obtain management approval.
• Conduct pre-award conferences with contractors and clients.
• Award contracts via phone, telex, or letter and monitor variances.
• Solicit awards; administer and close contracts per FAR, DEAR, and project procedures.
• Prepare subcontract documents incorporating changes approved by parties.
• Track status of contractual deliverables and ensure compliance.
• May relocate to the job site to negotiate variances and monitor adherence.
• Support safety and participate in Safety Work Groups.
