Amentum seeks a seasoned Procurement/Contracts professional for a Deputy role based in Paducah, KY. You will oversee subcontracting, supplier management, and compliance with FAR/DEAR while guiding procurement staff and ensuring auditable processes.

The role requires 10+ years in federal procurement, DOE experience, and strong leadership. You will interact with DOE COs, project teams, and finance/legal groups to drive compliant, timely procurements and subcontracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, contracts or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of federal procurement/subcontracting experience.
• Experience working under FAR/DEAR within a DOE or federal contractor environment.
• Experience with a DOE procurement system and related reviews (PERT/CPSR) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Support management of procurement lifecycle activities including acquisition planning, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, award, administration, and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives and internal procurement procedures.
• Review and approve procurement documentation, including price reasonableness determinations, sole source justifications, and source selection records.
• Assist in acquisition strategy development, including contract type selection and evaluation methodologies.
• Oversee subcontract administration activities, including modifications, funding actions, and closeout.
• Ensure proper flow‑down of required FAR/DEAR clauses.
• Support audit readiness and compliance with DOE procurement system reviews (e.g., PERT/CPSR).
• Serve as an interface with DOE Contracting Officer, internal project teams, and functional organizations, and attend/present at conferences.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance to procurement staff, support workload management and performance oversight.
• Act on behalf of the Procurement / Contracts Manager, as delegated.
