Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains is seeking a Special Events Coordinator in Denver, CO. The role supports abortion care through event planning, donor engagement, and fundraising initiatives within a fast-paced team environment.

You will manage end-to-end events, from concept to execution, coordinate vendors and sponsors, and leverage donor databases to optimize outreach and stewardship efforts. A baseline of 1–3 years in event coordination is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in event coordination and management.
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, donors, volunteers, and diverse audiences.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments, with the ability to prioritize tasks, set objectives, and achieve goals.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, MobileCause, and donor databases, including Raiser's Edge, preferred.
• Comfortable engaging with individuals at all levels, including major donors, in a professional, friendly, and inclusive manner.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Committed to supporting and advancing PPRM's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute special events from concept to completion.
• Manage timelines, vendors, logistics, speaker coordination, and stakeholder communications.
• Develop donor stewardship, cultivation, and event follow-up plans.
• Track attendance and follow up using donor databases; coordinate with marketing for event promotion.
• Assist in creating event materials, venue selection, catering, and program collateral.
