Job summary

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains seeks a fundraising professional to manage a portfolio of individual donors and prospects, guiding qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, retention, and upgrades. You will grow revenue from advocacy donors, including PPAF supporters, and expand the donor pipeline.

  • Support major gift officers in identifying and pursuing opportunities.
  • Develop multi-year fundraising strategies for advocacy/political priorities.
  • Create donor-facing materials that communicate priorities, impact, and funding needs.
  • Contribute to fundraising goals through donor retention, upgrades, renewals, and new acquisitions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Three (3) years of demonstrated success in grassroots, online, or direct fundraising. Preferred experience in major donor cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation .
  • Prior experience in strategic fundraising planning and campaign execution. Skilled in securing event sponsorships and managing fundraising initiatives.
Engaging and influential professional skilled in advancing and representing PPRM’s mission through public outreach, relationship building, and advocacy.
  • Proficient in fundraising systems, donor databases, list management, reporting, and data analysis. Experience with EveryAction/VAN is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relational donor databases such as Raiser’s Edge.
  • Strong knowledge of advocacy and community organizing processes.
  • Strong understanding of the impact of the political system on health care access and a commitment to staying informed on related issues.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative project leader who values accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Flexible and adaptable in fast-paced, evolving work environments.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a portfolio of individual donors and prospects with responsibility for qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, retention, and upgrade strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue from advocacy/political donors, including Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) supporters and other high-capacity prospects.
  • Identify, qualify, and solicit new advocacy/political donors to expand the donor pipeline and increase long-term support.
  • Conduct regular donor visits, calls, virtual meetings, and event-based engagements to build meaningful donor relationships.
  • Create and execute individualized donor plans designed to deepen engagement and move donors to higher levels of giving, including recurring and multi-year commitments.
  • Partner with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Philanthropy Officer, and Executive Director of PPRMAF to prepare for and execute donor cultivation and solicitation meetings.
  • Support major gift officers in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting advocacy/political giving opportunities.
  • Develop multi-year fundraising strategies for advocacy/political priorities
  • Create donor-facing materials and gift officer resources that effectively communicate our advocacy/political priorities, impact, and funding needs.
  • Contribute directly to organizational advocacy/political fundraising goals through donor retention, upgrades, renewals, and new donor acquisition.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for organization by demonstrating advocacy/political acumen, strategic thinking, and an understanding of the evolving political landscape.
  • Advise organizational leadership on advocacy/politicalfundraising opportunities, trends, and donor engagement strategies.
  • Provide fundraising support and strategy recommendations to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Director of Donor Relations & Operations.
  • Collaborate with gift officers across the development team to integrate advocacy/political giving opportunities into broader donor strategies.
  • Provide advocacy/political-related landscape updates and fundraising insights to aid cultivation and solicitation efforts.
  • Serve as a staff partner to the CEO and Executive Director at political fundraising events and donor meetings. Events include those in Colorado and New Mexico.
  • Develop strategies to engage emerging, diverse, and younger donor audiences in advocacy/political philanthropy.
  • Provide regular updates to development team colleagues on the advocacy/political climate and initiatives across the country and specifically in our affiliate region.
  • Track portfolio activity, donor engagement, revenue performance, and progress toward fundraising goals.
  • Analyze the provided monthly fundraising reports to provide strategic recommendations to organizational leadership
  • Support the Director of Donor Relations & Operations on strategic advocacy/political communications, including donor email campaigns focused on donor acquisition and sustainer growth.
  • Remain informed about evolving fundraising trends, platforms, and best practices to strengthen fundraising outcomes.

Salary Range: $70,465.85 - $89,264.03/year
*Although our full pay range is included above, the budgeted hiring range for new hires is $70,465.85 - $79,864.94/year and based on related professional experience.

Schedule: Full-Time working 40 hrs. a week

  • Monday - Friday 9am -5pm; Hybrid in office once a week. (Tuesdays); Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed.
