Job summary

The Space Utilization and Planning Analyst III/IV role at the University of Utah focuses on administering and improving the Archibus platform to support space planning, occupancy management, and strategic decision-making. You will ensure data accuracy and lead data governance, reporting, and system enhancements across campus.

Ideal candidates have expertise in space planning, data visualization, and enterprise system improvements, with experience in higher education or large facilities

Qualifications

  • Equivalency: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience.
  • Space Utilization Analyst III: bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 6 years or master’s (or equivalency) + 4 years of related work.
  • Space Utilization Analyst IV: bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years or master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of related work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data driven space utilization analysis, planning, and operational support to advance the University’s academic, research, and administrative missions.
  • Collect, maintain, and analyze space inventory, occupancy, and utilization data to support planning and reporting.
  • Develop space plans, layouts, visualizations, and recommendations using AutoCAD, Archibus, GIS to optimize campus space use.
  • Collaborate with project managers to assess space needs and support renovation, relocation, and new construction projects.
