Cardinal Health is seeking a Strategic Sourcing - Indirect professional to lead category sourcing for indirect spend and to partner with stakeholders across the business. The role focuses on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cost optimization within assigned indirect categories.

The ideal candidate has a background in strategic sourcing, category management, and strong communication skills to influence across organizational levels.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a related field that includes strategic sourcing (indirect), category management, supplier management and negotiation experience, preferred.
• Effective communication in English and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and with supplier partners.
• Demonstrates a strong financial acumen.
• Strong project and process management skills.
• Well versed in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP/SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Category Sourcing Lead for the assigned indirect categories (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Energy and Facilities).
• Primary sourcing business partner support for key stakeholders within indirect categories.
• Work closely with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage Request for Proposal (RFP) events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow purchase requests and new supplier setups within assigned categories.
• Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure favorable contract terms.
