Cardinal Health is seeking a strategic sourcing professional for indirect categories to drive value through competitive bidding, negotiation, and contract optimization. You will partner with business stakeholders to understand sourcing needs and manage supplier relationships end-to-end.

The role emphasizes spend analytics, market intelligence, and risk mitigation, with a focus on delivering cost benefits while ensuring compliance and alignment with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation preferred.
• Effective communication in English and presentation skills; ability to engage with all levels of the organization and supplier partners.
• Demonstrates strong financial acumen.
• Strong project and process management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SAP and SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories (e.g., EHS, Energy and Facilities).
• Primary sourcing partner for stakeholders in indirect categories.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts; maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow requests and new supplier setups.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure favorable terms.
