Job summary
Cardinal Health is seeking a strategic sourcing professional to lead indirect category initiatives in North America. You will partner with business stakeholders to define sourcing strategies, run competitive bids, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships to maximize value and reduce risk.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in indirect procurement, with strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Admin, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics).
- 3+ years in indirect strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation.
- Strong communication in English and solid financial acumen.
- Proficiency with MS Office; SAP Ariba experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead category sourcing for assigned indirect categories.
- Be the primary sourcing partner for stakeholders within indirect categories.
- Source indirect goods and services through supplier collaboration.
- Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing ones.
- Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
- Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
- Review and approve procurement requests and supplier setups.
