Job summary

Element Risk Management is seeking a Small Business Account Manager in Ohio to oversee client relationships, policy accuracy, and risk solutions delivery. You will coordinate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely policy delivery and renewals.

The role emphasizes underwriting coordination, renewal management, and identifying cross-sell opportunities to enhance client coverage and satisfaction. A strong communication skill set and insurance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field preferred; or IRMI, PLCS or equivalent designation, with at least one year in a defined insurance role.
• CISR designation preferred.
• Must be organized with demonstrated communications skills (verbal and written) and ability to influence others.
• Role manages a book of $300k+ in revenue and supports department strategy and mentoring Associate Advisors.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily client communications, including policy inquiries, billing questions, and service requests.
• Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain up-to-date client records and document service activities in the agency management system.
• Coordinate with carriers and internal departments to resolve service issues and ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor renewal timelines and proactively initiate renewal processes.
• Support commercial risk advisors and account executives with proposals, summaries, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate communications between carriers and account executives.
• Oversee underwriting processes to ensure compliance and timely policy delivery.
• Manage renewals, endorsements, and policy adjustments to align with client needs.
• Market analysis and carrier collaboration; stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates.
• Collaborate with carriers and underwriters to negotiate favorable terms and identify optimal coverage options.
• Champion the client experience by identifying service improvement opportunities.
• Leverage client feedback to drive innovation in service delivery.
• Spot cross-sell gaps by analyzing existing coverage and recommending additional solutions.
• Understand client operations and evolving needs to proactively suggest complementary products.
