Job summary

Mattermost, Inc. seeks a Senior Account Executive – Federal focused on the Intelligence Community to own and grow the IC territory, managing strategic renewals and net-new opportunities in a sensitive defense and intelligence context.

You will lead multi-million-dollar deals, navigate IC procurement, coordinate with cleared FSIs and distributors, and collaborate with partners to accelerate adoption of Mattermost's secure collaboration platform across agencies and mission programs.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of enterprise SaaS sales with success closing complex, multi-million-dollar transactions.
• Experience selling into U.S. Intelligence Community agencies with understanding of IC acquisition, accreditation, and mission environments.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate IC procurement, classification requirements, and authorization-to-operate (ATO) processes.
• Experience co-selling with cleared Federal Systems Integrators and navigating partner-influenced deal structures within the IC.
• Understanding of IC procurement, acquisition, and contracting processes.

Responsibilities

• Own and Grow the Intelligence Community Territory by serving as primary seller for IC business across agencies and mission-aligned stakeholders in classified environments.
• Drive multi-year account strategies aligned to IC modernization, zero trust initiatives, and mission priorities.
• Expand Mattermost's footprint across agencies and programs through strategic penetration and executive alignment.
• Maintain executive ownership of large-scale renewals and expansion motions across the territory.
• Identify cross-agency and cross-program expansion opportunities within existing deployments.
• Lead complex enterprise SaaS transactions with multi-threaded sales cycles including security reviews and accreditation workflows.
