Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Head of Science Operations to partner with the CSO and lead strategic planning, prioritization, and operational execution for the Science team. You will shape priorities, align stakeholders, and drive performance across science, product, commercial, and finance functions.

The role requires a track record of scientific leadership, organizational planning, and influencing senior stakeholders to translate vision into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.

Responsibilities

• Define annual and quarterly science priorities with CSO.
• Translate priorities into plans, milestones, ownership, and measures of success.
• Lead Science Leadership Team and manage meetings, decisions, and follow-through.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial on pipeline forecasts and capacity modeling.
• Support budget management, conferences, and client meetings.
• Prepare leadership presentations and decision documents.
• Communicate decisions and priorities across the Science organization.
