Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Head of Science Operations to partner with the CSO and Science Leadership Team. You will translate strategic vision into prioritized plans, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and manage budgets and governance across the Science organization.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.

Responsibilities

• Define Science Team strategy and priorities with CSO.
• Translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, ownership and measures of success.
• Lead Science Leadership Team effectiveness and manage operations (agendas, decisions, tracking).
• Define resourcing and address cross-functional risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial on forecasts and capacity planning.
• Support budget management for the Science Team and coordinate external engagements.
• Prepare presentations and decision documents for CSO and represent CSO in internal meetings.
