Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Head of Science Operations to partner with the CSO and Science leadership in setting priorities and translating vision into actionable plans. You will coordinate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, and Operations to align science initiatives with Datavant’s Life Sciences business.

You will lead the Science Leadership Team, manage operations, and drive decisions that improve delivery, performance, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of industry experience in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience in roles requiring scientific judgment, strategic problem-solving, and leadership of complex initiatives across scientific, technical, commercial, and operations functions.

Responsibilities

• Set science team strategy and priorities with CSO and leadership.
• Define annual and quarterly priorities and translate them into plans, milestones, ownership, and success metrics.
• Lead the Science Leadership Team and manage processes, agendas, decisions, and follow-through.
• Coordinate with Finance and Commercial for pipeline forecasts, capacity planning, and budgeting.
• Support tracking of time, studies, and publications; drive change initiatives across the Science organization.
